Biggest winners:
One punter put $10,000 on the Highlanders to be leading at half-time at $1.52 and was lucky not to put it on them to win at full-time.
$10,000 on the Stormers to win by 13 & Over was a good punt from one customer at $1.52.
$20,000 on the Hurricanes to win at $1.15 was easily in the bag for the Saturday night clash.
Bigger loser:
$20,000 on the Highlanders to win at $1.28 was a happy return for the TAB.

The Biggest Shock of the Week
What a week of upsets! The first one came with the first game on Friday night when the Force travelled to Carisbrook to take on a new look Highlanders squad. The men from down south came out in their highlighter green uniforms and they wanted to put a stop to the slide they have been on in previous weeks. However this was far from the case with the Force getting up and paying a huge $4.25 to win by 12 & Under. What will happen to the green machine this weekend?
On Saturday night the in-form Reds took on the Brumbies in Queensland. Previously the Reds had won 12 in a row at home and Saturday nights clash was looking like it would be a walk over again. However, as we have seen with a number of teams this year, backing up after a game against the Crusaders isn’t as easy as it seems.
The Brumbies got up and won 22-14 and if punters had been onto it 12 & Under paid a whopping $7.50! However, there was one very unlucky customer who had placed a $10,000 bet on the Reds to win by 13 & Over at $1.60. The bookies response: “Thank you very much!”

What had a huge bearing on the results over the weekend?
Most punters wouldn’t have seen the Hurricanes v Lions match as one that would bring out the Betting Moment that changed the Week, however, as we look deeper into the results it is very much a game that could have gone either way for the bookies.
Majority of punters out there didn’t have much confidence in a massive victory by the Hurricanes even if they had an All Black backline almost in place and also a few scattered through the forwards. Punters had backed Hurricanes 12 & Under and therefore a great result for the bookies was Hurricanes 13 & Over. However a late try by Lion Jaco Taute made the result 38-27 which is in fact 12 & Under which gave the punters something to smile about and the bookies, well… lets just say a frown appeared!
